Overview and Objectives
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government has been promoting the realization of “Smart Tokyo,” a vision to enhance the city’s potential through digital innovation and improve the quality of life for its residents. As part of this initiative, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government supports efforts led by local communities to address local issues and meet residents’ needs through smart city approaches.
To further accelerate these efforts, the Smart Tokyo Promotion Project for Solving Local Issues, which provides support to local governments, universities, and private companies that are committed to tackling local issues. This includes assistance in clarifying local issues, forming consortium through matching support, and implementing smart city initiatives aimed at solving those issues.

We support the formation of consortium by facilitating collaboration among local governments, universities, and private companies that are committed to addressing local issues.
Support for Selected Projects
Selected projects will receive financial assistance through subsidies, along with additional support to ensure smooth and effective implementation.
